Rare photographs of The Beatles at Shea Stadium

The Beatles performed at Shea Stadium in New York City, on August 15th, 1965. The concert was a milestone in musical history as one of the first major stadium concerts.
Television host Ed Sullivan introduced the band when they took the stage: “Now, ladies and gentlemen, honored by their country, decorated by their Queen, and loved here in America, here are The Beatles!”

The set list was:

“Dizzy Miss Lizzy”
“Ticket to Ride”
“Everybody’s Trying to Be My Baby”
“Can’t Buy Me Love”
“Baby’s in Black”

Rare photographs taken by amateur photographer Marc Weinstein are now going under the hammer in auction.
