Paul McCartney and Mal Evans back from the US on 12th April 1967. Paul had spent a week in San Francisco, Denver and Los Angeles to celebrate Jane Asher’s 21st birthday. On the plane home, Paul had been working on his initial ideas for what would become Magical Mystery Tour.
